There are a variety of events you can come along to if you want to give bowls a go or play casually:
Wednesday night coaching
2025 Wednesday night coaching sessions are on at 5.30pm on these dates:

A great way to come along and learn how to play and get a small taste of the club.
Tuesday night Twilight Bowls tournament
Each year we hold one five-week Twilight Bowls social tournament before Christmas, primarily in November. Then another after Christmas, starting in February.
For this competition, you need to enter a team of 4.
Weekend ‘roll-ups’
We sometimes hold roll-ups where anyone can turn up and have a game/roll-up organised.
Open Days
Once or twice a year we try to advertise around the community to get the neigbourhood along.
One-off play

Becoming A Member
Victoria Bowling Club is always on the lookout for new members to join our club, whether it be as a full-time bowler competing in club championships or a social bowler looking for to enjoy a casual roll up and get to know the game better. Each membership option is explained below:
Full Membership
Cost:
First year: $100
Students: $100
Standard: $240
Senior: $170
Benefits: As a Full Member you have the opportunity to play in our club championships, take part in our many interclub teams, play in Wellington Center events, as well as National events. Along with this you get one of famous black and yellow club shirts! Full Members get access to club coaching evenings which are to be scheduled for Wednesday evenings.
New full members get to take part in ‘junior’ club championships. You’re classified as a junior for your first five years, regardless of age!
Social Membership
Cost: $50
Benefits: Social membership is a great way to get to know the game and become a part of the club. As a social member, you can use the club facilities and have a roll-up on the green whenever you like (except on rare occasions both greens are being used in competition).
Social members are also now able to play in the Wellington junior Twilight3Five competition on Monday evenings which starts in January.
