Well done to Liz Dutton and Rich Corry for coming runner-up in the Wellington Catholic Mixed Pairs indoor bowls competition on Thursday night at the Berhampore club rooms. They easily won their semifinal but lost out in the final on an extra end to the Murray Larkin skipped pair from Wairarapa. This was a great effort considering this is Liz’s first season of indoor bowls!
Rich made amends on Sunday winning the Wellington Catholic Open Singles indoor bowls tournament for his second title of the season. He came from behind to beat Raymond Martin in the quarterfinals and accounted for Jonathan Osten (Vogelmorn) in the final. This follows winning the Open Triples title earlier in the season and is Rich’s 6th Wellington Catholic title.
