Men’s Pennants Round 3

Round 3

Top of the table clash for the men’s pennants, up against 2nd place Newtown, and the unbeaten streak was continued!

Roy, Graham, Robert, and Rhys continued to show their great form, this week winning by 9 shots.

In the other game, James Fairhall made his pennants debut for the season, and they needed his class to come through with a win. Him and Paul had particularly good games, they also had Alan & Gavin in their four. They won a close game by 2 shots.

Round 2

Men’s Pennants extended their lead at the top of the Division 3 Men’s Pennants with two wins at home to Tawa.

The same four of Roy, Graham, Robert, Rhys that won in Round 1 achieved a healthy 20-12 win. In the other side, Alan Woods replaced Gavin at two, playing with Paul, Steve, and Bas. After drawing last week, they were in another tight tussle, they were one behind towards the end of the game when they picked up a 5 to shoot ahead and never looked back from there to win by 4 shots.

Round 3 is a top of the table clash at home to Newtown who sit second in the division so far, though we do have a health 5 point lead over them in the table.

Round 1

A good start for the Men’s Pennants team who are looking to get back up to Division 2 after being relegated last season.

Out at Johnsonville, the four of Roy Gibb, Graham Goudge, Robert Gray, Rhys Barlow had a healthy win, while Paul Dunham, Steve Nicoll, Gavin McFadyen, and Bas Dynan had a draw. That effort takes them to the top of the table where hopefully they can remain!
