Have belatedly updated the Victoria titles from the 2020-21 season. First time I have since Richard did an amazing job setting it all up. It’s always there at the top of the Competitions page for your perusal:
Some notable achievements from last season:
- Sarah Taukamo achieved the rare 4 titles in a season!! This was last done by Leigh Griffin in 2011-12. Still never been done on the men’s side!
- Lou Newman equalled the club record for most men’s club titles, equal with W.N. Tucker at 27.
- It was Lou’s 10th club fours title! 2nd man ever to reach double figures for fours titles.
- Robyn Rintoul’s 5th club title
- James Fairhall’s 5th club title
- Tim got the ‘grand slam’, his singles win means he has now won all four VBC titles.
- Very unusual that five different men got their first VBC club title in the same season. Scott Roddick, Robbie Bennett, Liam Crowley, Ian McLeod, Calum Finlayson. (might need Richard to work out when that last happened!)
- Helen King extended her record for the most club titles up to 38.
- Scott Roddick the only man in 2020-21 to win more than one club title.
