Congratulations to Rich Corry, Tim Toomey and Ray Martin for coming runner-up in the Wellington Open Triples at the weekend. They went down to Blake Signal, Jason Puddick and Euan Wong (Stokes Valley) in the final at Wainuiomata 19-9. Our boys won the title in 2013 but were unable to defend the title last season due to both Rich and Tim being unavailable.
Robyn Rintoul, Mary-Ann Wilson and Yvonne Gibb lost the semifinal of the womens event to the eventual winning team skipped by Mary Thompson (Island Bay) 18-12, after knocking out Hayley May, Nicole Toomey and Feona Sayles in the quarterfinal. Sarah Taukamo, Nina De Munnik and Helen King also made the quarterfinals.
