Best of luck to Lisa White as part of the first Black Jacks trip to the Northern Hemisphere in preparation for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. A squad of 14 are currently in Wales for a test series between New Zealand, Australia and Wales, and will then attend an 8-Nations event in Scotland.
This trip will be the first of many steps taken for players to prepare for and adjust to the conditions which they will be presented with at the XX Commonwealth Games where the greens and style of game will be very different to that encountered in New Zealand.
Dates in Wales
Practice Day: Monday 19th August 10.00am
Test Match – Tuesday 20th-Thursday 22nd
Finals – Thursday 22nd
They then will be competing in the 8-Nation event held at Kelvin Grove Greens, Scotland, which will next year host the Commonwealth Games, from 26 August until 1 September. From the current team of 14 they will select the team that will likely go on to compete in Glasgow in July 2014.
