Subs going up! Club champ entries book. Business House flyers.

A reminder that the club subscription fees discount expires on 30 September. If you pay now, a sub is $150 – if you leave it until 1st October it will be $175. If members have not made arrangements with the Treasurer (Leigh) by the end of November, then those members will not be able to participate in any club activities.

A club champ entries book is open for entries in the bar area. Please enter your teams, including interest in playing interclub, pennants etc.

Nairn has made some great Business House Bowls flyers to put up around your workplace or other social abodes. These are available from the bar. We are looking for a bumper competition this season!

The green should be open for roll-ups at 1pm.

Club champs Mens Fours draw now up

The first club championship to get underway this weekend is the Mens Fours and the draw is now up on the Competitions page.

Club programs are available at the club, just ask at the bar. And I will try to keep the website Program page up-to-date about a month in advance of all events. Please contact me on house_of_taine@yahoo.com or through the Contact page if there is something that needs updating or has been missed.

Also, if you would like the ability to Comment on pages, give me a yell and I can give you a website account.

Island Bay fixture postponed

Apologies, the Island Bay challenge fixture has been postponed until later in the season as a consequence of the wet weather over the winter. Match Committee will look at playing the fixture in February or March.

And get your names up on the blackboard downstairs as an indication you can play this Sunday at 1pm for the annual challenge against Island Bay. Island Bay are hosting.

The Victoria Bowling Club welcomes all prospective members this Saturday for our Open Day with a free Barbeque 11.30am-12.30pm, and a lucky draw at 1pm. The first 5 men and 5 women drawn will receive free membership for their 1st year including club uniforms and bowls (special conditions apply). We need a Treasurer!

We are in search of a Treasurer for the club. Whoever chooses to step up and take this role may choose to sit within or outside of committee (if within the committee you receive an Honorarium, if without you need to submit a report prior to each monthly committee meeting). This is a responsible position involving paying of accounts, keeping tidy spreadsheets of our income and expenses, and submitting monthly summaries for committee and annually to our auditor.
