Congratulations to Malcolm Bradshaw and Mark Burgess for finishing runner-up in the Wellington Development 2-4-2 Pairs at Victoria on Monday. Malcolm and Mark had a good run to the final before going down to James Cameron-Powell and Seamus Curtain (Stokes Valley) 10-19. It was a game of two halves with the Victoria boys up 8-7 at the halfway mark but they were only able to win one more end.
Well done also to Suzanne Green and Tereska Knap for making it to the quarterfinals. They were centre of attention int he first round of post-section on Sunday morning with Suzanne pulling out a big upshot to take out 2 opposition bowls to force an extra end before Tereska nailed the winning shot.
And good to see Victoria hosting a Wellington event again after a season off recovering the green. A big thanks to all those who helped prepare the green and club and served lunches and drinks.
