Congratulations to our two Champion of Champion triples teams who both finished runner-up in their respective Wellington events last weekend. Chris Rintoul, Tim Toomey and Bradley Down lost to the Island Bay team skipped by John Killen and featuring Chris’ Dad Peter 11-18. Mary-Ann Wilson, Sarah Taukamo and Helen King fell to Lisa White’s Naenae team 8-20. Great to see mother and son in the respective finals.

The points earned by the men keeps Victoria ahead of Naenae and Johnsonville in our unofficial count of the race for the Men’s Club of the Year title with two events remaining.

Congratulations to Chris Rintoul and James Fairhall who won a Naenae Development Pairs tourney last month

Congratulations to Alf De Munnik (fours lead) and Lou Newman (triples skip) who were part of the victorious Wellington City Mens Masters team that won the annual Hexagonal Masters competition at the Johnsonville club last month. Both were unbeaten with the four winning all five matches and the triple winning four and drawing one.

Kay Carr (pairs lead) and Nina De Munnik (fours 2nd) were part of the Wellington Womens Masters team who played at the Palmerston North club in Manawatu finishing 5th.
