Congratulations to our well-performed pairs team Richard Corry and Raymond Martin who reached the semifinals of the New Zealand Open at the Henderson greens in Auckland this week before going down to Pat Houlihan (Central Otago) and Alvin Gardiner (Canterbury) 12-8.
Ray also reached the quarterfinals of the singles again being clipped by Gardiner 21-14, and Rich made the quarterfinals of the triples with Barry O’Brien and their Auckland skip Jamie Hill after earlier beating a combination of legends in Danny O’Conner, Lance Tasker and Peter Belliss. Leigh Griffin made the quarterfinals of the womens triples with partners Bronwyn Stevens (Southland) and Karen Hema (Auckland).
