Congratulations to Richard Corry for winning the Upper Hutt Open Pairs indoor bowls title at the weekend playing with Marcus Trlin (Vogelmorn). They beat locals Robert and Brandon Fuge in the final.
And well done to the Victoria interclub team competing in the Hutt Valley competition. The team had a slow start to the season but went through the B Grade competition in the second half of the season unbeaten. The team of Michael Cartwright, Kay Carr, Richard Corry and Raymond Martin still needed to at least draw the final night 7-7 against Hutt Central but came away with a whitewash 14-0. They will play in the Greater Wellington Champ of Champ interclub against Upper Hutt, North Wellington and Wellington Catholic winners next month.
