Richard Corry and Raymond Martin, teaming up with Rob Ashton (Johnsonville) repeated their runner-up position from last year in the Onehunga Invitation Triples tournament at Easter in Auckland. The team battled back from a mid-match slump to go down 14-16 to an all-former international team of Justin Goodwin, Jamie Hill and Gary Lawson.
Earlier in the day, they overturned last year’s final result by beating Richard Girvan in the semifinal, only to go down to a side they had beaten at last year’s semifinal stage (last year Hill skipped Goodwin, with Shannon McIlroy in the middle).
