Boys in the Bay do well

Long time Victoria players Neil Barron and Adam Newman combined at the weekend to reach the semifinals of the Hawke’s Bay Open Pairs. This was a great result considering they have had very few games between them this season.

Well done Ray, Jamie & Rich!

Congratulations to Raymond Martin, Jamie Coleman and Richard Corry in getting to the final of the Wellington Open Triples at the Petone Central club on Monday. And the final was oh so close! 5-0 up, but opposition skip Blake Signal (Stokes Valley) turned around a lot of shots in the mid part of the game to take a grip of the match 14-9. The Victoria boys bridged the gap late in the game to go into the last end 14-14 but unfortunately Signal was the closest in drawing to the jack to earn his Gold star.
Also a good effort from Helen King, Nina De Munnik and Lisa White in making the semifinals of the Womens Open Triples.

Nicole and Tim Toomey competed successfully in the Regional Kittyhawk Finals in Dannevirke and will both represent the region in the national under-20 finals in Auckland at Easter.
