Well done Donna, Nina, Kirsten & Leigh!

Well done ladies for making the final of the Wellington Open Fours before going down to Pat Wishnowsky’s Petone Central team. Skip Leigh Griffin has certainly been there, done that before having won the title 3 times previously, but a particularly good experience for lead Donna Lawrence in just her second year of bowls! Playing at third, Kirsten Griffin showed her fine current form, while Nina De Munnik was her usual chirpy self as the team progressed through the draw. The team continued what is becoming a solid season for good Victoria performances at Centre level.

Well done Kirsten!

Very well done Kirsten Griffin for an incredible nine wins from nine in the recent New Zealand Challenge Trophy at Naenae. Unfortunately there are no individually credited results on the Bowls NZ website but this brought together some experienced hands, and up and coming new blood from around NZ who all participate in Bowls NZ’s high performance programme. Raymond Martin (pictured with Shannon McIlroy (Nelson) on practice day) also played well for six wins out of nine.
